Change of command
Major-General John Ochai has taken up the position of the 32nd Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna, succeeding Major General IM Yusuf, who retired after 33 years of dedicated service to the nation.
Deployment and transition
The appointment of General Ochai followed the recent deployment of senior officers in the Nigerian Army by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja. The handover ceremony took place at the NDA Headquarters in Kaduna, where the outgoing commandant expressed gratitude for the support received during his tenure and urged cooperation for his successor.
