During a campaign rally for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano, the national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, made a significant error. While speaking about the ruling party’s performance, he mistakenly referred to the PDP as the source of shame and spoke against the retention of PDP in power.
Ayu stated, “We should be at the forefront of Africa and commanded respect globally, but the PDP has brought dishonor. And unfortunately, we will continue to keep them in power.” He was promptly corrected, however, the gaffe had already caused a stir among the audience.
