FAAN Announces Revised Date and Tariffs at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport

Revised Implementation Date

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has rescheduled the implementation of the new toll fare at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport from July 17 to August 1, 2023. This decision was taken to allow airport users to continue enjoying the current charges for a little longer.

Updated Tariff Details

Upon the new toll fare’s implementation, car owners will experience an increase from N200 to N300, while buses and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) will see their charges rise from N300 to N500. For trucks with six tyres, the fare will change from N500 to N1,000, and for trailers and containers, the tariff will be N2,000.

Dedicated Parking Facilities and Regulations

To enhance airport users’ comfort and ensure smooth traffic flow, FAAN management advises vehicle owners to utilize the dedicated ‘Park and Pay’ car parks. Commercial drivers should use the drop-off zone exclusively for passengers’ drop-off and not engage in pick-ups, as registered car hire services are available along the airport exit. Additionally, VIP parking stickers are available for frequent fliers and high-profile individuals seeking VIP parking privileges.

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria has taken a considerate step in postponing the implementation of the new toll fare at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. The revised date allows airport users to continue availing the existing charges for an extended period. Upon the tariff change, various vehicle categories will experience updated toll fees. The management also emphasizes the importance of adhering to designated parking facilities and regulations to maintain a serene and efficient environment within the airport premises. With these measures in place, FAAN aims to enhance the overall experience for travelers and create a smooth traffic flow at the airport.
