Conviction and Charges

Anne N. Nelson-Koch, a 74-year-old former teacher, has been convicted on 25 counts related to the sexual abuse of a teenage boy at a private school in Wisconsin during the 2016-2017 school year. The boy was just 14 years old at the time of the abuse, while Nelson-Koch was 67.

Disturbing Details

The abuse took place in the school’s basement, where Nelson-Koch would take the young boy to commit the heinous acts. The severity of the charges against her could potentially lead to a prison sentence of 600 years.

Upcoming Sentencing

The case will proceed to a sentencing hearing on October 27, where Nelson-Koch’s fate will be determined. While prosecutors requested immediate remand in custody, the judge instead granted bail with a GPS monitor until the sentencing date. The victim’s bravery and the dedication of Investigator Paul Sloan from the Tomah Police Department were acknowledged in securing the conviction.
