Former President Goodluck Jonathan has compared the use of “unorthodox” means such as vote-buying to armed robbery and conning.

While casting his vote during the recent presidential and National Assembly elections in Bayelsa, Jonathan urged politicians to allow voters to choose their leaders at any level and conduct their affairs very creditably so that supporters, relatives, and others would be convinced that politics is a “clean business.” Jonathan hailed the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), expressing the assurance that the technology was indicative of the developments being made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
