Governor Wike Stands Firm on G5’s Importance to PDP Success
River State Governor Nyesom Wike recently declared that anyone within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who opposes the success of the G5 will fail. The G5, also known as the ‘Integrity Group’, consists of five southern governors who have voiced their objections to the party’s current leadership and lack of representation for southern members. Wike, being a strong supporter of the G5, made these remarks during a campaign rally in Okrika Local Government Area.
At the rally, Wike emphasized the significance of the G5 to the party’s success and emphasized that he and the G5 cannot be easily displaced. He also pointed out that those who believe they can win the election without the support of the G5 have been exposed and will ultimately fail. Wike also stressed the importance of winning Rivers State in the election, as it is crucial to the party’s success.
Wike clarified that he has no issues with the party’s presidential flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, but is more concerned with representing the interests of the people of Rivers State and the southern region. He declared his allegiance to the southern province’s representation.
