The tribunal secretary in Oyo State, Mr. Ibrahim Sada, stated that two petitions on the senatorial election were filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, three by the New Nigeria People’s Party, and one by the Accord Party.

The petitions will be examined by the respective tribunals to determine their validity and whether they can affect the outcome of the elections. If the tribunal determines that an election result is flawed, it can order a rerun or declare a new winner.

The Osun and Oyo States Election Petitions Tribunals have assured that they will conduct fair hearings and adhere to the principles of natural justice while delivering their rulings. They also urged all parties involved to remain peaceful and avoid any actions that could undermine the credibility of the electoral process.
