Seedstars Launches Gender Lense Program for Financial Inclusion

Seedstars has announced the launch of the Financial Innovations for Women Affected by Migration (FIWAM) programme in order to find and support fintech companies committed to advancing financial inclusion, specifically for migrant women and women impacted by migration in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Impact-Linked Finance Fund (ILFF) oversees the programme, which is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Austrian Development Agency and funded by the Impact-Linked Fund for Gender Inclusive FinTech (ILF for GIF).

The ILF for GIF collaborated with Seedstars to increase access to and use of financial products, according to Kayefi team.

The programme aims to address the difficulties encountered by female migrants, such as legal limitations, inadequate documentation, language obstacles, cultural differences, and restricted mobility.

Through the FIWAM Growth Programme, selected fintechs from Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Sub-Saharan Africa will get technical support with an emphasis on investment potential and scaling their impact for women migrants and others affected by migration.
