The debut of a new digital prescription application by South African digital healthcare firm EMGuidance is intended to revolutionise how prescriptions are managed and distributed.
In a press release on Monday, June 5, 2023, EMGuidance, a digital platform for clinical decision-making help in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, announced the news.
The platform aims to enhance patient-care results by providing healthcare professionals with access to cutting-edge digital tools, according to cofounder Dr. Mohammed Dalwai.
Giving employees access to the most recent diagnostic and therapeutic methods, providing education, and providing local medicine counsel from throughout the healthcare ecosystem and medical business are additional service prospects.
With more than 57,000 South African members already registered, the startup has developed into the biggest and most active online platform for HCPs since its launch.
The co-founder commented on the development and said:
“The world of medicines is in a state of constant change, with new drugs, science and data around the safety and efficacy of medicines emerging almost daily, not to mention changing scheme rules.
“This makes it practically impossible for any doctor to stay abreast of the latest developments without the support of a digital tool.
“By making the system as smart as possible, we’re saving doctors time and reducing costs and risks.”
