Vice President Shettima Assures Swift Action on Infrastructure Deficiency during Sallah Homage to Shehu of Borno

During a Sallah homage paid to the Shehu of Borno, HRH Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi in Maiduguri, Vice President Kashim Shettima assured the nation that the Bola Tinubu-led administration is committed to addressing Nigeria’s infrastructural deficiency with utmost priority.

Speaking to newsmen after the Sallah homage, Shettima emphasized the importance of promptly addressing infrastructural challenges raised by the Shehu of Borno. Specifically, the Vice President highlighted the significance of resolving the issues concerning Gamboru Ngala, Dikwa, and Damboa roads in Borno State. He assured that the administration will take decisive action to address these concerns.

“I am here to assure him (the Shehu) of the maximum support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. All the challenges confronting us, we will survive it as a people,” Shettima stated.

Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum, praised Vice President Shettima as a man of the people and a grassroots politician. He emphasized the significance of the Vice President’s visit to the state, describing it as a homecoming for their esteemed son.

The Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi, conveyed his appreciation for Vice President Shettima as a worthy son of Borno State. He acknowledged the overwhelming support the Vice President has received from the people of the state. The Shehu requested support from the Bola Tinubu Administration in addressing the challenges of bad roads and security issues faced by the state and the country as a whole.

In response, the people of Borno State pledged their unwavering support to the administration and expressed their trust in the Vice President and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Vice President’s visit and assurance signify a renewed commitment to tackling Nigeria’s infrastructural deficiencies, particularly in Borno State. With the support of the Bola Tinubu-led administration, it is hoped that significant progress will be made in addressing the challenges faced by the state, including the improvement of critical road networks and security measures.
