Allegations Surface Against Ovie Omo-Agege for Manipulating APC

Delta APC Accuses Omo-Agege of Plotting Against Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition

Omo-Agege Allegedly Orchestrates Emefiele’s Involvement in APC Presidential Primary The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege of being the mastermind behind the suspended Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele’s participation in the APC presidential primary. The party claims that Omo-Agege’s intention was to hinder the ambitions of President Bola Tinubu.

Allegations of Anti-Tinubu Campaign and Anti-Party Activities In a letter addressed to the president, the Delta State APC highlights Senator Omo-Agege’s alleged attempts to scuttle President Tinubu’s presidential aspirations through the recruitment of Emefiele. The party claims that Omo-Agege convinced Emefiele to contest the primary and promised him support from Felix Morka, a spy planted as the Party National Publicity Secretary.

Sidelining of Party Faithful and Alleged Anti-Party Actions The Delta APC alleges that Omo-Agege marginalized party members who were not in his camp during the 2023 general elections. They claim that he singularly nominated candidates for various positions, including gubernatorial, senatorial, and assembly primaries. The party also accuses him of engaging in anti-party activities and preventing party members from participating in crucial party activities.
