Divisive Case in Entertainment Industry

The high-profile case generated significant attention and controversies within the entertainment industry. Some celebrities, including Yomi Fabiyi, Bukky Black, and Lege Miami, empathized with Baba Ijesha, suggesting that he was ‘ambushed’ into the crime. In contrast, actresses like Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing firmly supported Princess Adekoya, the victim’s guardian.

Unwavering Support from Yomi Fabiyi

Yomi Fabiyi, who has been vocal in his support for Baba Ijesha, maintained that his non-governmental organization conducted an investigation that prompted them to give the actor a voice, as they believed he was unjustly treated. Despite the guilty verdict, Fabiyi has been in regular communication with Baba Ijesha during his time in prison, aiming to keep his spirits high and prevent thoughts of suicide or vendetta. Baba Ijesha remains troubled by the absence of certain factors, such as the girl’s age being proven with a birth certificate, leading to mental agony.
