In an unequivocal response to the devastating attack on its forces, Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters (DHQ) issued a stern warning to the audacious terrorists challenging the might of the country’s armed forces. Amidst anger and resolve, the DHQ underscored that should enemies continue their aggression, the nation’s defenders would be unwavering in their commitment to protect, even to the extent of raising the children left behind by those who dare to test their resolve.

In a powerful and emotive media briefing held in Abuja, the Defence Headquarters underscored their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the nation, conveying heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen officers and soldiers. Amidst the sadness, the message remained clear: the nation’s resolve and strength would not falter in the face of adversity.

Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force, spoke candidly about the tragic crash, indicating that investigations were ongoing to determine the cause. He vehemently condemned baseless speculations spreading on social media platforms, emphasizing the importance of verified information.

The DHQ also shared the success of ongoing operations across the country, detailing the neutralization of terrorists, the rescue of hostages, and the seizure of illegal goods.
