INEC Swears in Mahmuda Isah as Resident Electoral Commissioner for Second Term

Reappointment of Mahmuda Isah: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has administered the oath of office to Mahmuda Isah, who has been reappointed as a Resident Electoral Commissioner. Isah, who previously served in Jigawa and Kaduna States, will begin his second and final term.

Deployment to the Federal Capital Territory: Following his reappointment, Isah has been deployed to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This new assignment marks a transition from his previous roles in Jigawa and Kaduna States. The FCT presents a fresh opportunity for Isah to contribute to the electoral processes in the capital region.

Oath of Office: The swearing-in ceremony took place during the Commission’s weekly meeting, with the presence of INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, National Commissioners, and the Secretary to the Commission. Prof. Yakubu emphasized the importance of loyalty to the Nigerian people and adherence to the provisions of the law, urging Isah to fulfill his duties with integrity and in accordance with established guidelines.
