The Lagos State Government has announced the inauguration of a 22-member committee for the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Kadri Hamzat, on May 29, 2023. The committee will be responsible for coordinating the activities leading up to the event, according to a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Tayo Ayinde, was appointed as the Chairman of the committee, while a former Commissioner for Education in Lagos State, Mrs Saidat Oladunjoye, will serve as Vice-Chairman. Other members of the committee include Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, Mr Abayomi Oluyomi, Mrs Aramide Adeyoye, and Mr Olawale Musa, among others.
The committee will work with various sub-committees to ensure a successful inauguration ceremony. The Secretary of the Committee is Mrs Adenike Akanbi, while the Special Adviser on Education, Mr Tokunbo Wahab, and Mr Bimbo Onabanjo are members. The committee has already commenced its work ahead of the May 29 event.
