MTN Announces Change of Recharge Pin code from 555

MTN plc changes the recharge pin activation code from *555*rechargepin# to *311*rechargepin#.

The notice of the recent change was sent to the respective MTN customers across the world.

The message reads, and I quote:

“Dear Customer,  This is to inform you of a change in our recharge activation code.

You can now recharge your lines using *311*rechargepin# instead of *555*rechargepin#.

We encourage you to start using the new code for your convenience. Thank you for choosing MTN.”

This information was transmitted from MTN to its customers on May 2, 2023.

Currently, there are no explanations to the recent change but Customers are encouraged to begin using the new recharge code for convenience.

Note: MTN is the acronym for Mobile Telecommunication Network. It’s a South African-based internetworking company operating primarily in Africa.
