Niger State Governor Warns Employers of Legal Consequences for Rejecting NYSC Members

The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago, emphasizes that no National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member should be rejected from their place of primary assignment, and there is a law in place to enforce this. Defaulting employers will face legal consequences.

During the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream 1 orientation course, the governor assures corps members of their security at their places of primary assignment, and mechanisms are in place to provide welfare services to them.

The governor urges corps members to avoid drug abuse, cybercrime, and misuse of social media, while also serving as positive role models in their host communities. The NYSC coordinator reiterates the importance of avoiding involvement in local politics, using social media responsibly, and taking security measures to protect themselves.
