Plateau State Secretariats Sealed by Police Chief Amidst Tension over Leadership Appointment

Police Seal Plateau State Secretariats the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, has issued a directive to seal all 17 local government area secretariats in Plateau State. The action aims to prevent a potential breakdown of law and order following the recent appointment of new leadership in these council areas by Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

Tensions Surround Leadership Appointment the appointment of new leaders in the affected council areas has generated considerable tension and unrest. Allegations of financial impropriety leveled against the former chairmen and councillors prompted their suspension by Governor Mutfwang. The decision to replace them with interim management committees has been met with resistance from the former officials, who are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
