Polaris Bank Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Appointments

In a strategic move to bolster its executive leadership team, Polaris Bank has announced the appointment of two seasoned professionals, Chinwe Iloghalu and Martins Izuogbe. The bank aims to leverage their expertise to advance its refreshed strategy, which emphasizes technology and service as essential pillars for growth.

 

Commenting on the appointments, Adekunle Sonola, the MD/CEO of Polaris Bank, expressed his satisfaction with the additions to the executive leadership team. Sonola highlighted the extensive experience of both Iloghalu and Izuogbe in the Nigerian banking sector, emphasizing their expertise in corporate banking, innovation, and technology. He further expressed confidence in the management team’s ability to achieve the bank’s ambitious growth targets.

 

The bank also acknowledged the valuable contributions of Segun Opeke (ED Lagos and Corporate Banking) and Abdullahi Mohammed (ED North), who will soon complete their tenures on the management team.   • Martins Izuogbe Appointed as Executive Director, Service and Technology: Martins Izuogbe, who brings with him 25 years of banking sector expertise, exclusively gained at Fidelity Bank, has been appointed as the Executive Director, Service and Technology. Having previously served as the Regional Bank Head for Apapa, Izuogbe’s strong background in operations and IT leadership positions equips him to effectively lead Polaris Bank’s service and technology function.
