President Biden trips and falls at US Air Force Academy Graduation Ceremony.

President Joe Biden took a tumble during Thursday’s US Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado. The 80-year-old president was delivering his opening address when he tripped and fell near the podium. Fortunately, he was quickly helped up by those around him and returned to his seat unassisted.

Clarification from the White House

After videos of the incident began to circulate on social media, White House Communications Director Ben LaBolt clarified that the president had only tripped over a sandbag that was left on stage. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also confirmed that Biden was “totally fine” after the incident.

 

Concerns about President Biden Age and Health

President Biden, who is the oldest sitting US president in history, has faced concerns from some citizens about his age and health. However, he has maintained that it is up to voters to judge “whether or not I have it or don’t have it.” If he wins his re-election bid in 2024, he will be 86 at the end of his second term.
