President Tinubu Engages in Key Meetings, Discusses Security and National Development

President Tinubu’s Meeting with Nasarawa Governor ,President Bola Tinubu had a meeting with Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, during which the governor briefed the President on the state’s high level of insecurity and the crisis within the State House of Assembly. The President expressed concern about recent bandit attacks and the emergence of two factional speakers in the assembly. Governor Sule highlighted the security challenges faced by the state, especially along its borders with Kaduna, Kogi, and Benue.

Commitment to Addressing Security Challenges, Governor Sule conveyed the President’s commitment to tackling the security situation in Nasarawa State. President Tinubu assured the governor that he would engage with relevant security agencies promptly. Joint military operations and other strategies will be explored to address the security challenges effectively.

President’s Engagements with NNPC and NDDC, President Tinubu also held separate meetings with Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). During these interactions, Kyari briefed the President on critical national engagements of the NNPC, while Ogbuku highlighted the agency’s plans to support the administration’s goals. Discussions encompassed solutions such as deregulation and initiatives to provide affordable fuel options like Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
