BREAKING: President Tinubu Indefinitely Suspends EFCC Chair, Bawa

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has been placed on administrative leave by President Bola Tinubu.

According to a statement released on Wednesday night by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the suspension was meant to enable a thorough inquiry of Bawa’s behaviour while in office.

Bawa has been instructed to hand over control of his office immediately to the director of operations at the commission, who will manage the operations of the chairman of the commission’s office until the investigation is finished.
