Pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 5
Vice President Shettima emphasized that the current administration would vigorously pursue SDGs 4 and 5, which focus on quality education and gender equality. He highlighted President Tinubu’s passionate advocacy for girl-child education and belief in empowering women. The Vice President acknowledged the crucial role that education and the treatment of women play in the prosperity and respect of society.
UN Delegation Commends Nigerian Government’s Efforts
The UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed, and Malala Yousafzai expressed their appreciation for the Federal Government’s efforts in promoting goals 4 and 5 of the SDGs. They acknowledged the progress made in the areas of gender equity and education for girls across the country. Both Mohammed and Yousafzai praised President Tinubu’s commitment to education and welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with the Nigerian government to strengthen education, particularly for the girl-child.
