The renowned YouTube Partner Programme (YPP) has updated its monetization eligibility requirements, according to YouTube, the top video-sharing platform in America.

Previously, in order to be paid for their work, creators had to amass a minimum of 1,000 subscribers as well as either 4,000 watch hours in the previous year or 10 million views of Shorts in the previous 90 days.

But with the new rules in place, producers can now become monetized by having at least 500 followers and posting three public videos in the last 90 days.

Launched in 2007, the YouTube Partner Programme is a comprehensive partner effort that offers unmatched assistance, monetization options, and a number of other advantages to content creators all around the world.

This tactical move is being made as rival platforms, including TikTok and Twitter, step up their efforts to woo creators with alluring monetization options.
