President Buhari Casts Vote in Hometown as Nigerians Head to the Polls

In Daura, Katsina State, President Muhammadu Buhari exercised his voting rights alongside his wife, Aisha, as millions of Nigerians headed to the polls to elect a new president and members of the National Assembly.

The two-term President, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), urged Nigerians to vote for the candidate of their choice, emphasizing that every voter has one vote.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials have arrived at the polling units scattered across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

Accreditation and voting have commenced in some polling units in parts of Nigeria as the 87.2 million registered voters with Permanent Voter Cards exercise their franchise.
