Tinubu declares Oyetola’s victory as a triumph of light over darkness

All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu has praised the Osun state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal’s decision to declare Adeboyega Oyetola as the duly elected governor of the state.

The tribunal, which was chaired by Justice Tertsea Kume, ruled in favor of Oyetola and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue a Certificate of Return to him, while nullifying the results that declared Ademola Adeleke as governor. In a statement, Tinubu described the verdict as a “triumph of courage and perseverance, and light over the forces of darkness” that aimed to halt the progressive governance delivered by the APC under Oyetola’s leadership.

He also expressed his confidence that Oyetola’s work would soon resume, bringing prosperity to the people of Osun.
